Hello,

The Azores will probably be released in three packs with 3 airports each. We have some ground work done and some buildings done, but none have been exported to FS for screen as we usually do that when more items are completed, but as soon as we can we'll release the initial images of the work in progress.

The first pack will probably (maybe 1 airport changes) by Santa Maria, Pico and Corvo.

Cool, cool. What about the Ponta Delgada airport? It has new parking, still under construction. I also wonder how you will cover the 'outside' of the airport, it has some elevations around as seen here, and buildings, etc...

Good to know it's coming up, keep up the good work.

Hello,

Ponta Delgada will come in the 2nd or 3rd pack, all 9 airports will be covered within 3 packs. We are in contact with nice and helpfull people who are updating us on the construction work at the airport. Even if we release PDL and the construction is still underway, we'll update the scenery when complete like we will do with Ezeiza which is currently under construction.

Best,

Leandro

Hi,

The airports that currently have had work done one are not currently in any sort of presentable form, but work is ongoing. We hope to have one of the packs released for Christmas and a few weeks prior to release we should have the initial screenshots.

Ok
But the LPCR it's finish?
It's a small airport, one instant and finish, it's easy airport to construct...

Hi Azoresntu. How are you?
Carlos here.

In fact it`s not the size of the airport that makes it be constructed first. The reality is just the contrary.
We`ve scheduled 3 major releases for this year: Guaruhos/SBGR, Ezeiza/SAEZ and Bilbao/LEBB.
Guarulhos was already being worked for some time during 2009, so it was obviously the first major release of the year, as the scenery was well advanced and we were both working on it.

Then I started working on Bilbao alone, ahead of Leandro, that dedicated himself to take personal care on other projects like Cancun/2010, then Ezeiza/SAEZ, and then St.Thomas/KING, as we could not dedicate the rest of the year on just doing Bilbao, without other releases.
All these airports were done by Leandro alone, while I was completely involved with Bilbao, a huge, complex e extremely detailed airport that is taking my full time dedication since March.
By mid 2010 Azores became a "go" project, as we received a very nice stuff from people helping us on this. Thanks to all.

We decided that it would be great to make all Azores airports. For this quantity, 9 airports, they would have to be released (and done) by packs. In fact, 3 packs containing 3 airports each one.

By this time, Leandro could start helping me on Bilbao significantly, with groundwork, autogen, 3D objects, effects, moving cars, and other things.
Since the work on Bilbao was entering it`s final fase, and for the grandness of the Azores project, this last one was slowed down a bit, as there was no sense to keep working on two major projects like these at the same time.

Again, as we could not let all our hands busy for too long on just one airport (and since Azores project is as big or bigger than Bilbao) Leandro dedicated himself on two other smaller but nice projects: one of them was just released (Beef Island/TUPJ) an the second, another Spanish airport, is about to be completed and released in a few more days.

Then, Bilbao will return to be a full 4 hands work to be finally finished, and released by early November.
After this, the first Azores package will become our main target, where we`ll be both working on to complete what Leandro has already started.
So, this is why we can not provide you with some early stage pics of what had been already done. Work was started on 3 of the Azores airports, but not specially on one of them, no matter being the smaller one.
They are being worked as a group of airports, not each one at a time.

As Azores will arrive on independent packages of 3 airports each, it would make no sense to pick up the smaller of them and finish it up alone, on a rush, just to have some images to show here, as it would not be released as a single airport, as were the cases of recent single releases like St.Thomas/KING, Beef Island/TUPJ and now this new Spanish airport.

Please, note on this forum that we are used to show images of almost ready airports, that are about to be released in 1 or 2 days.
Bilbao was an exception because of it`s size and type, that allowed us to construct it by separated and independent areas: first the ramp terminal area was completely done, them the control tower and support region, then the auxiliar part, the cargo and aeroclub areas were next, and the old terminal region for last. As we have done each part at a time, completely finishing each one of them, I could manage to release previews as we were finishing one after the other.

I think we will be able to show some Azores images soon, please wait for them, it will be worth enough. <img src=\'http://www.tropicalsim.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':o\' /> But everything at it`s own time.

My best,
Carlos Pereira.
