Santa Maria and Pico released!
#1
Hi <img src=\'http://www.tropicalsim.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\'Smile\' />

We have just released Santa Maria/LPAZ & Pico/LPPI for both FS9 and FSX at Simmarket.

Some necessary information:

- Corvo is, by now, about 80% ready. The first idea was to release all 3 airports at once, but we figured out that it would not be nice to postpone Sta. Maria and Pico releases for Corvo.

- This will not mean any loss for our customers, as we have fixed a low price for each single airport, and asked Simmarket to offer a promotion for those who want to order both airports at the same time. Reading the sceneries texts there, you will see that there is a lower value for ordering both sceneries, instead of one each a time.

- Until we release Corvo, very soon, all the customers that have ordered both airports by now, using the bundle offer before Corvo`s release, will receive Corvo for free.

- After it`s release this promotion will not be valid anymore, but we will create a bundle pack, called "Açores #1" containing all 3 airports, at a new value. Of course this value will be much less than what it would be spent if ordering each airport as a single. This is exactly what we were thinking to do before.

- Leandro is out, on a small trip until next Sunday, May 1st. He asked me to advice all those nice people that helped us doing the sceneries, sending tons of pics, that their free copies will be available by Monday, ok? Please wait these few days.

I really hope you all enjoy the airports and have nice flights!
Any problem or doubt, please just email us.

My best regards,
Carlos Pereira.

Good Morning

Nearly 24 hours have passed and i have testes both sceneries extensively.

LPAZ is fine, i could not find any problems.

However there seems to be a problem with Pico, when on takeoff the runway centerline ( white) flickers and dissapears underneath the a/c..This only happens during touchdown and Takeoff, once in the air everything looks fine, also there seems to be some some sort of a bump in the runway between the middle of the runway and the taxiway that leads on to the terminal, several of my colleagues have also noticed the same issue.

Kind Rgds

Hi Rob, how are you? <img src=\'http://www.tropicalsim.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\'Smile\' />

Thanks for reporting us about the sceneries.
We may be releasing a simple hotfix for this Pico runway issue in 2 or 3 days, along with some other little improvments I`m already working on here.

Nice to know you are enjoying these first Açores airports. More to come soon.

My best regards,
Carlos Pereira.

I am 14 years old and am a pilot in Air Azores VA and am anxious to try the new setting of the Azores, since my company is cheap, mainly from the Azores but I'm waiting to launch all airports in order to end the my allowance xD
I've seen the work done so far, is excellent and with this project TropicalSim will profit greatly.

Hi Mason.

Leandro faced some problems moving to a new apartment. He and his wife were dealing alone with all the stuff, like packing/transporting/unpacking.
This way, Corvo suffered a small delay, but nothing serious. The scenery is almost ready to be released in a few more days. Some small finishment details to do.

By the way, I`m preparing the first preview of Ponta Delgada/LPPD to be posted here, very soon.
Keep tuned.

My best regards,
Carlos Pereira.

Hi everybody!

I'd like to thank Tropicalsim very much for the Azores Islands scenery. I'm brazilian, son of azorean immigrants from Terceira Island but I live in continental Portugal. I've been waiting for a long time for someone to decide to carry on with a quality Azores Islands project. You guys were the answer to my pray so, again, thank you very much! The sceneries of LPAZ and LPPI are awesome and I really recommend them to all sim pilots that fly to/from/inside this fantastic atlantic archipelago. Keep up the outstanding work guys!
